Whenever you are at home or at work, the internet you have been using has a private Ip address of your device provided by hardware devices such as modems or the routers. Sometimes if the IP address you work on may not function properly. In such a case you can simply configure the settings of the modem or the router to change your private internet protocol address (IP).

Following the below steps help you to configure and change out the ip address of your device successfully:

STEP 1:

Find the local area network i.e. LAN in your computer or laptop.

Step 2:

To reset for the new ip address to your computer or laptop, choose the address reservation field/section for resetting and you can place the new ip address.

Step 3:

In this reservation field you can see the numbers of connected devices to that particular internet. Sometimes it becomes difficult to find out the devices or unseen by your laptop or computer.

Then you need to enter the device’s MAC address and name manually.

Step 4:

Then comes to choose the ip address you need to connect for. Generally most of the devices use IV4 addresses connecting protocol which is of the format (for example) 192.168.1. The part you will need to change is the last part of the format.

Generally you can put any number between 1 to 100, although in some cases the number may be chosen to 254.

Step 5:

Make sure that the address you pick is not currently in use by another device on the network. This will cause a conflict and one device will lose its connection.
